INTERIOR DESIGN
Arch Beach Heights
At the end of one of our office open house parties, a woman walked into my office and said, " I am either going to remodel my entire house, or I am getting a divorce". The woman and her husband, now our friends, hired us to update the design of their interior and exterior of their 1940's beach cottage to sleek, yet warm, modern beach cottage. Construction will begin in the summer of 2023. Please see 'Residential Architecture' for exterior updates.
Bounty Way
Located in the Mystic Hills area of Laguna Beach, CA, the owners had lived in their home for 20 years and wanted to redo their interior. An understated, yet colorful palate was wanted. A hidden kitchen was created and featured blue backlit decorative glass and gold leafing.
We supervised the interior construction and choose all the materials and finishes
and most of the furnishings.
Coast View Drive
This Laguna Beach soft contemporary cottage interiors project was for a recent widow who always wanted a home in soft yellow and salmon colors. She had a martini glass collection and a giraffe collection. The giraffe collection became the focus of a safari themed guest room. Phillipe Horvath, Inc., created the interiors, including furniture and fabrics, as well as portions of the exterior front and entertainment areas.
Nyes Place
This ultra contemporary home was a
'down to the frame remodel'. Phillipe Horvath, Inc., was hired to design the interior, observe construction and help select exterior materials. Architect David Parker originally designed this home. A feature of this home includes a 35 foot high, 8 foot wide, octagonal spiral staircase that has a view to the ocean. The owner liked angles, so we created an understated use of angles both in plan and in elevation.

Our client's desire was a contemporary home design with a wink to mid-century modern. The owner's have a keen eye for design and detail. Together, we created a unique blend of architecture and interiors. This home is located in Huntington Harbor, on the water, where the main level deck cantilevers over the sea wall. as a wink to 1960's design, we used teak wood on the cabinets, wall panels, stair treads and interior doors. Construction was completed in late 2022 and furnishings and art are being selected now. Please 'Residential Architecture' for exterior design images.
